Simple way how to use eyeliner.

Eyeliner can make even the smallest eyes appear larger. Applying  it correctly is key, you don't want the line to be too dark, harsh and obvious or you risk looking overdone. Here we share our favorite tried-but-true eyeliner tips and then give instruction on how to apply a basic eye, a smoky eye, a bold eye and a cat eye.

METHOD 1
Three ways to applyliquid eyelinerA typical way to apply liquid eyeliner is to line eye from the inside of the lashes outward in one big sweep. You can also line the eye from the middle of the lashline outward.

Then finish the line from the inner corner of the eye to the middle.

My third liquid eyeliner trick requires a steady hand. The results are supposed to be wider eyes.

Step 1: Start with a completely bare eye, no shadow or mascara.

Step 2: Apply liquid liner in the upper lashes. Dot the liner into lashes, pushing them aside if need be. The result is not supposed to be a line. It's supposed to look as if the lashes themselves are super thick at the root.

Step 3: Apply mascara.

Step 4: Compare eye to other naked eye and see if you love the result.

METHOD 2

1. Holding the skin slightly taut, position the liner brush at the inner corner of your eye, resting on the lop lashes. Sweep along the upper lash line t0 the outer corner, drawing outward. Let dry for 10 seconds and go back over the line again.

2. For a striking effect, leave the eyeliner as it is. For a softer look, brush over it with a little dark eyeshadow using a small, pointed eyeshadow brush, but be careful not to press hard and smudge the eyeliner too much.

3. It is generally better not to line the lower lashes with liquid eyeliner; this creates a very harsh effect. Either use an eyeshadow or run a kohl pencil along the inner rim of the eye, taking it right into the inner corner.

THE FINISHED EFFECT:The top lash line has been smoothly outlined with liquid eyeliner, while black kohl pencil applied along the bottom inner rim of the eye creates a smoky, sultry effect. A light coal of mascara adds the perfect finishing touch.

TYPES OF EYELINER

a) There are many eyeliner pens in the market, which makes achieving the liquid eyeliner effect quite a breeze. Apply it as how you would with a pencil eyeliner.

b) The classic liquid eyeliner usually comes with a long wand with a thin flexible brush or a felt tip brush. If you have trouble creating a line, try drawing on a rough line with your pencil or gel eyeliner before going over it again with liquid.

c) To improve your eyelining skills with a classic liquid liner, you can try using very thin eyeliner brush and dip it into your liquid liner. This way you can hold the brush closer to the bristles, which gives you more control.
